Oxbow Park & Tweites Pumpkin Patch

Just this past weekend and into the beginning of this week when the weather was still warm, we took advantage of being outside and went to Oxbow Park and Tweites Pumpkin Patch. Last Thursday, Brandon got home early and we headed out to Oxbow Park only to find that the zoo closed at 4pm and we got there at 4:30...So, we took a short little hike instead and played at the playground. The weather was gorgeous and it was fun to do something different.

On Saturday, the Mayo Fellows Association hosted a day at Tweites Pumpkin Patch. We got there a little before 9am to make sure we got a free ticket and though Brandon couldn't come we had a lot of fun with Lesley and Caleb, Stacy and Van, and Chris, Erica and Annabelle. It ended up getting really warm so we played with some wooden cars, saw some goats, went on a slide and the best part, we took a wagon ride. We didn't do much else since most of it was for older kids and I was getting warm with being in sweatpants and a sweatshirt (I wasn't planning on wearing just a tank top - that was only to have something under the sweatshirt!!)...oh well! It was fun to look at what they have available for when Halle is a little older. She had a good time walking around and loved staring at the tractor while we were on the ride.

On Monday, Halle and I met Rebecca and Ella, and Emily and Kylie at the Oxbow Zoo so that we could actually see the animals this time. We met around 11:15am and saw the animals first and then had a picnic lunch - the weather was absolutely beautiful. Halle had a fun time seeing the animals and being outside.

Fun times! I had been wanting to do oxbow too so we ventured out there yesterday....such a great spot! I think it's crazy that they close at 400.
