Playing in the Snow!

I can't believe that it has really only snowed twice in December so far this year and both times the snow has melted...this has never happened in all of the years that we have been in MN! So, when it snowed on Friday night, we took advantage of it and took Halle out to play in it for the first time on Saturday morning. It wasn't too cold so it was perfect for it. We got her all bundled up in snow gear and then put her in the sled (which we had never used and has just been sitting in our garage since we moved into our house!). She laughed while sledding down the drive way and was having fun until Brandon took a sharp turn and off she went, face first into the snow. Let's just say she seemed to prefer doing other things after that...including hanging out in the bed of Brandon's truck watching him plow our driveway and going for a ride on her trike (where she was secure!). She was a good sport and it was fun to play with her in the snow.

Afterwards, we took her to Monkey Junction so that she could show Brandon how she can go down the slide all by herself. Brandon was amazed that she could do it! We finished off our busy morning with lunch at Mr. Pizza. We usually just hang out on mornings that Brandon is post-call but had a really fun time doing things as a family. Halle and Brandon both took a 3 hour nap after lunch! I guess that is one way I can get Halle to nap longer...just wear her completely out!

Halle is quite a trooper in the snow. She amazes us. Long naps are nice after long nights. Not much snow for December in MN.

Halle's adorable in her puffer jacket!! I want a white Christmas...this is SO strange to me (the grass on Dec 21!).

I love her hat and she is too funny on that bike- totally content to be pushed around in it!

She looks so cute all bundled up. And, yes the key to a long nap in our house is to totally get them worn out!

I love that you finally used that sled- I remember you "getting" that sled!

She's adorable. Good idea on the bike!
