Happy Birthday Brandon! Today is Brandon's 26th birthday, however, he is spending his day in the hospital. That seems to be the trend recently! He is on a busy rotation so he has been spending most of his time at the hospital and the rest of his time sleeping at home. I did get to visit him tonight and was able to bring him Chipotle and chocolate cheesecake for his birthday dinner. I am so proud of him for working so hard. I am very blessed to have such a great husband! Hopefully, we can celebrate some other day..
I feel bad that he has been working so much but at least he is only on this rotation for 3 weeks since we are taking vacation for the last week. We are going to visit Joy and Nick in Jacksonville and then we are going to drive to Hilton Head, SC and stay there a few nights before staying in Savannah, GA on our way back to Jacksonville. If anyone has any suggestions of things to do or restaurants in those areas, please let us know!

In other news, I think it is so funny the places Brandon ends up sleeping after having been on call the night before. When he gets home, he is so tired. I have found him on the floor in front of the tv, sleeping in a chair, on the grass next to the hammock, his usual spot on the couch in the basement and my favorite, standing up washing his hands in the downstairs bathroom.

HAHAHA. OH my word! That picture of him on the floor is so funny..and yet so pitiful! Was he really asleep while standing up washing his hands?? I can't wait to hear that story! Poor Brandon....but it will pay off eventually! Happy Birthday!
I am always amazed at the hard work and long hours those residents put in!!! I hope his first year is going well!!!
The trip to South Carolina and Georgia will be a nice trip for a delayed celebration. Enjoy the time with Nick and Joy.

Happy (belated) Birthday to Brandon! I did notice his uncanny ability to fall asleep at ANY time when he was visiting us last fall. I guess that is another thing you learn while in med school!
