Birthday's

Since today is Halle's original due date, I thought it would be appropriate to post some pictures from her one month birthday and also for the get together that Brandon and my family had for my birthday. I can't believe Halle is already 1 month old...time has really flown by since she was born! She is a perfect baby and we love her so much!

1 month (she doesn't sit up so we had to take the picture really fast!)

At one month Halle...

• Eats every 30 minutes - 2 hours
• Has slept the most for 3 hours and 30 minutes
• Likes sleeping in somebody's arms more than in her newborn napper even with the vibration and music!
  
• Is very strong - she can lift her head fairly well and has a very strong grip
• Has had just a couple of awake times where she laid under her play gym
  
• Loves having her hands on her face
  
• Is definitely getting bigger (you can tell in her thighs and legs!) though I don't know how much she weighs
• Likes the car and her car seat if she has been fed beforehand!
• Loves relaxing in her warm bath but does not like getting out
• Can somehow maneuver her hands out of the cuffs in her onesies and her daddy's tight swaddle so that she can have them on her face
  
• Loves laying on her daddy's chest
• Wears premie diapers and clothing though she is almost getting too long for some of her premie clothes
  
• Gets hungry in seconds once she wakes up and is not patient (like her mom!)
  
• Hiccups a lot
• Sort of uses a pacifier and when she does, she can hold it in her mouth
  
• Is starting to notice things and look around more

I turned 27 on July 21st. I originally thought that I might deliver Halle on my birthday but instead, I got to have her with us at home on my birthday which was the best gift. I don't remember the last time I was with my parents to celebrate my birthday so it was fun to have them here. They made me a great birthday dinner - flank steak, baked potatoes and corn. And, then we had friends over for dessert which was a lot of fun. Thanks Joy and Nick for the yummy ice cream cake, my mom for the delicious chocolate cake and Lesley for the root beer floats. It was a great day!

Halle did great with everyone here - she slept the whole time!
