Halle Update

Halle is at such a fun stage right now. She is talking constantly and some of the things she says are so funny. Just today, she was wanting to "drive" the car when we were out running errands. She was dissappointed when I wouldn't let her but as soon as we got home and I parked the car, she said "Halle's turn drive"! We have been working on sharing and taking turns and apparently she is getting the concept a little too well!

She also has been sitting on the potty every once in awhile and knows that she gets candy if she goes. One day, she was sitting there and folded her hands to pray...it was pretty funny! She also sometimes reminds us to pray if we start eating and have forgotten to pray.

She says too many things to list, but here are some of my favorites recently:
"I knight thee sir Mama" - she learned this from Dad when he used her pens to "knight" her one day
"Dada, boo, boo, man" - this is her way of saying Daddy's at work since she remembers that when we were at a hockey game, Dad had to go see the man with a boo boo!
"Meet you" - she will put out her hand and want to shake yours to say "nice to meet you"
"Cheers" - she wants to bang things together - I think she learned this from Mema and Papa!
"Dinner?" - I think this just means she is hungry since she says it for breakfast, lunch and dinner
"Gassle" - this is one word that she says completely wrong but it is so funny to us - it means stroller
"Gammy" - this is another one that is weird but it means her blanket

Halle just loves music and loves to dance. She loves singing the "Wheels on the Bus" and knows most of the hand motions and words. She will also go around saying "Jesus", "Bible" which is her way of singing "Jesus loves me". I think we have a little evangelist on our hands since she frequently will say Jesus and Bible non-stop when we are out! She has also learned to dance to "All the Single Ladies" and will twirl her fingers and wave her hands in the air and say "Oh, oh, oh, etc.". Her other favorite song is "Twinkle, Twinkle" which she calls "How I Wonder" and wants it sung to her before bed every night.

Because of this love for music, I signed her up for a music class which she just loves. She will say "more class?" and sing some of the words to the songs we sing in the class. I am impressed with how well she does in the class. She listens to the teacher and only does things when asked which I can't say is always the case at home!

Here are some recent pictures of our little Halle girl.

Here is a little video that shows her cute personality. For some reason, she thought it was fun to laugh and cover her mouth that night!
