Halloween

Halle loves pumpkins so we thought we better continue our annual carving tradition by having some friends over. We kept it simple with pizza and a couple of festive treats but it was so much fun to have people over. The kids mostly played downstairs but when it was time to carve the pumpkins a couple of them wanted to be involved. Halle had fun watching us and making a few dots in her pumpkin. We carved a Mickey pumpkin for her which she enjoyed.

On Halloween, we didn't do anything celebratory until Brandon got home - just one simple picture outside with the pumpkins! Then we ate dinner at Pizza Pi with Erica and her sister, Chris and Annabelle. Afterwards, they came up to our place and we went trick or treating around our neighborhood. It felt pretty cold even though the temperatures weren't too bad but Halle did extremely well. I just made sure she kept her hat and mittens on. She walked for a lot of the time and wanted to keep going to the next house. By the end, she was getting greedy and wanted suckers if there were any. I had no idea she liked suckers that much! And, she was so excited about them that she had to test one out on the way. She loved being Minnie Mouse and though she has been wanting to wear her Minnie shoes since I bought her costume, they are too big and she can't walk well in them so we made her wear other shoes to walk around the neighborhood with. At least they will be good for playing dress up in the meantime! Annabelle was a very cute honeybee. They were so cute together walking around. Poor Annabelle was freezing but wanting to keep going too but by the time we got back, her hands were frozen so she kept them in fists...poor girl!

We aren't sure where she got this from but recently she has been "posing" and loves to do it especially when she is in her tights...these pictures are definitely going in her wedding slideshow someday!
