I remember saying this all of the time with Halle's updates but I cannot believe that it has already been a month since Blair has joined our family. She has been such a fun addition and has already changed so much - the last time we had her weight checked just a couple of weeks after she was born, she was at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and I am assuming she is over 8 lbs. now! She is awake for a lot of the day which is fun to see. She is usually content for a bit now after eating until she gets tired and wants to be held. Though while she is content, she will just sit and look around with her big eyes! She loves the sound of running water which will calm her right away and loves falling to sleep in our arms. Halle has been such a great big sister by playing be herself while I feed Blair and has been nothing but loving toward Blair.

At 1 Month Blair...

• Eats every 1.5-3 hrs
• Was a great sleeper for the first two weeks at night (even went a 5 hr stretch one night!) but since then is waking up every 2-3 hrs to eat during the night though she goes right back to sleep
• Is awake quite a bit during the day and is very alert - in fact, today she was awake in the morning, then took one long nap, followed by another nap and then was awake from 5-9:45pm!
• Is very strong - she can lift her head fairly well and pushes up with her legs
• Still has a lot of dark hair
• Does not like the bath yet...hopefully, she will outgrow this since she usually screams the whole time!
• Starting around 2 weeks she has been a little fussy after eating and in the evening...I think she has some stomach/gas pains
• She also likes to cluster feed from around 5/6pm-9/10pm
• Is definitely getting bigger and some newborn outfits are getting too short
• Has long fingers and arms!
• Her hands are cold a lot of the time even though she is warm everywhere else
• Usually cries in the car when we first get going but if she is well fed and has a clean diaper, she will usually fall asleep after a bit - if she isn't well fed, she screams the whole time
• LOVES the sound of running water which will almost always calm her down - thank goodness Brandon found a Youtube video of the "sound of running faucet" or otherwise, our water bill would be outrageous!
• Really likes looking around while she is awake
• Seems to like the Bjorn facing towards me - both times I have put her in it, she has eventually fallen asleep
• Does fairly well at sleeping through a lot of noise since we have a toddler around the house
• Wears newborn diapers and clothes
• Gets hungry in seconds once she wakes up and is not patient (like her mom!) - just like Halle was!
• Hiccups a lot and spits up sometimes after eating
• Though I would like her to use a pacifier, she doesn't seem to like it - she has found her hands a few times though
