Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas...

Halle was so excited about Christmas this year which made it a lot of fun even though it was just the four of us this year. Besides asking Santa for a big tv in her room to give her something to do, she also asked for a dollhouse and legos. We set out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas". I wasn't so sure she would sleep well that night but she was able to and when she woke up in the morning we were already awake so that we could see her reaction. We taped it (see below) and she didn't even notice the dollhouse when she first came out! It was so fun to see her get excited with everything - the stockings, the eaten cookies and milk, her special snowman breakfast, the presents, etc. She loved everything she got and we really enjoyed just spending a relaxing day with our girls. That night, we were invited over to our friends house for dinner. It was fun to be with our friends and have a nice home-cooked meal.

Since this was our first Christmas without any of our family in town or going to Oregon, it did feel a little different. But, it was great to just spend the time with our two greatest gifts - Halle and Blair. We are so blessed and it was a great reminder this holiday season.

Blair's first Christmas - she spent it just lounging with Mom!
