March for Babies

I can't believe it is already April! This has actually been the first time since 1878 that we haven't had any snow in March and it was SO nice. Let's just hope that snow doesn't come in April, especially on the 24th.

On April 24th, a group of us will be walking for the March for Babies in remembrance of Mariee Orme, who was born on May 15th and passed away on May 17, 2008. While we are sad that she had such a short time here, we are happy we are able to celebrate her life by walking together.

We walked for the first time for Mariee two years ago, before she was born. Cassi, who was close to the end of her pregnancy was a trooper and insisted on walking all 6 miles. Though it was a freezing cold day, a group of us were able to finish the whole walk and then celebrate at Nick and Cassi's place afterwards. Mariee has touched so many hearts and we hope that through walking, babies all over the world can be helped.
