Birthday Weekend

I turned 30 while here in Jacksonville and Erica and Nicole and their families surprised me with a pool pizza party on the Friday before my birthday. I thought Brandon was going to be working that night and he was in on the surprise and made it for dinner...yay! It was fun to celebrate with the two other families here and pizza and ice cream cake are my favorites! Thanks Erica, Nicole and Lesley who provided the cupcakes from afar!!

On Saturday, after Brandon cooked me pancakes in bed, we went to the beach as a family. It was overcast so it was the perfect temperature. Both girls really like being near the ocean and Halle especially loves to play in the sand. We spent awhile there so I ended up going straight to my hair appointment in my swimsuit and coverup while Brandon took the girls home for naps. Even though I was sort of chilled, it was a much needed break for me. They picked me up from my hair appointment (with a change in clothes!) and we all went to dinner at the M Shack.

On Sunday, my actual birthday, Brandon went and got things from Starbucks for breakfast. Then, he let me run errands while he watched the kids which was also a nice treat. He then met me and we went to lunch at the Loop which was a really good place for pizza and salads! I then did some more errands during afternoon naps. We went to TacoLu for dinner which was delicious! The girls really weren't into it but we had fun anyways. After dinner, Halle saw the go carts from Adventure Landing across the parking lot and wanted to ride. We were surprised that she wanted to ride so we checked it out and sure enough, she went with Brandon and liked it! It was a great birthday weekend with the family! Thanks Brandon!
