January Outings

The picture above pretty much sums up the winter that we have been having this year - negative temps, at least 10 ft snow drifts in our yard and bad road conditions...But, when it warms up we try to make the most of it. Here are some pics of what we did in January.

On New Year's Eve we were going to eat out at Panera but it was closed so Halle got to choose Applebees...she, for some reason, always wants to go there! I think it's because she likes that she can read the sign out front!

Another day we decided to head up to the Cities for some fun. We stopped at Chick Fil A (notice the common theme of eating out..what else can you do in MN?!?) Then we headed to the Mall to take the kids on some rides. We ran into the Klikas which was fun!

It did finally warm up one day so that Halle and Brandon could go out and play in all of our snow. They made two chairs, a snowman and a slide. Halle LOVED it and was on her back or stomach the whole time or eating the snow. She didn't seem to mind the cold at all!

Eating the snow!

Blair and I watched from inside where it was nice and warm!

It's never too cold for ice cream!

Lots of snow and play despite the cold. Halle, are you training for the Olympics?
