I don't think I have officially congratulated them on their engagement so "Congratulations Nick & Joy!". For those of you that don't know, Brandon and I introduced Nick and Joy a couple of years ago when she was out here visiting. They didn't start dating however, until this past summer when Joy moved out here and the rest is history. We are very excited for them. We finally had them over for a late celebratory lunch this past Sunday which was fun. I made the collage down below and framed it for them as an engagement gift.
This past Friday we went and saw some ice sculptures in the plaza downtown. Afterwards, we went to dinner with Nick, Cassi and Adam and then went back to their place for games. I don't wan to start thinking about it but I will be very sad if we have to part ways from all of the amazing friendships we have built here...
On a brighter note, on Sunday night the anatomy professor, who Brandon assisted for a year ago, invited us over to teach us how to make authentic chicken curry. She was so patient with us especially since she doesn't usually measure things and she did just so that I could write it down in my recipe book. Brandon and I both learned and he did a great job. We even learned how to make the rotis that goes with the chicken curry...it was so good!
Afterwards, we watched the Academy Awards with her which I thought were very entertaining this year. Maybe it's because we knew someone who was up for a nomination - my sister's husband's good friend was the editor of Milk. He has also edited a bunch of other movies like the Xmen movies and is still pretty young so I bet he will get his chance someday. He got 3 tickets so he took his parents and then my sister's husband with him to the awards. He even got a picture on the red carpet which I have included down below...Jeff, you are famous! ;)

Match day is SO SOON!!! :) It's so hard to believe that you all are about to start residency, and we'll be 4th years! Whoa.
Hey guys!
Good luck with Match Day! You know where Matt and I want you to end up, but I am sure wherever you two end up will be phenomenal! I just can't believe that Brandon is almost "Dr. Yuan". It sounds so nice.
Best of luck as the day approaches!
Great to see you today, Kristen! We'll have to go to cable sometime soon!
See ya at Bible study on Tues...
Wow! I feel behind the times! Congrats to Nick and Joy - that went fast!
