Brandon and I got married! Happy Anniversary Brandon!
I can't believe that we have already been married for 4 years... And, besides that, we have been dating for close to 9 years!
I thought it might be fun to one day look back at the things we did/news in our first 4 years of marriage so here it goes:
- Moved to Rochester, MN
- Rented an apartment at Civic Square for all of med school with a noisy neighbor below and outdoor parking in the freezing weather!
- Kristen got a job at the Kahler, then at Mayo, then at Mayo Medical Laboratories
- We walked to work in the mornings together even when it was freezing - the only time we drove was to go to church and the grocery store
- Went on our honeymoon to Maui then went home for Christmas
- Got rabies shots because of the bat in our apartment
- Ran in the Harvest Classic 5K
- MN bridge collapsed
- Tutored together at Rochester Better Chance
- Beyond Eden bible study together on Thursday's
- Tried a ton of fried food at the MN State Fair
- Brandon took Step 1
- Trips we have taken: Oregon for Christmas' and summer vacations; Duluth, MN with my parents; Phoenix - for Brandon's presentation; Seattle - for another presentation; Chicago (twice); Boston - for Kristen's course; Orlando - for another presentation; Sonoma, CA - for Renee's bachelorette party; Canoe Bay, WI; Salt Lake City - when Brandon was there for a month; Galena, IL; Bolivia
- Iphone came out
- Got a gold fish -Fred
- Kristen completed a triathlon
- Brandon took Step 2
- Brandon travelled all over for residency interviews - Iowa City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oregon, Charlotte, NC (where he spent the night in the airport), Seattle, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Boston
- Both of our sisters got married
- Obama became president
- Brandon matched at Mayo for Ortho
- Brandon graduated from med school and became a doctor Residency
- We bought our first house...and our first bbq, lawn moyer, set of couches, dining room table, tv and sound system!
I am sure there are more events/news but this is all I can think of right now! We are planning on going out to dinner at the Redwood Room so it should be a fun night!

One more thing to add to this list: became a wonderful daughter in law who makes getting along with a mother in law seem easy (even when it isn't)
