Yesterday, we went snow tubing with Presley, Laura and Asher. I was a bit hesitant at first to take Halle outside in the cold weather but now that she is a little older, I figured she might be okay. We bundled her up in a snowsuit that we borrowed from Erica and Annabelle and off we went!Presley found out about this place about 20-30 minutes away. When we got there we thought it was going to be a long hill that was somewhat slanted so that we could take the kids, but boy were we wrong! It was a pretty steep hill (so steep that I didn't think I could go down at first - yes, I don't like roller coasters either!) We realized right away that this wasn't going to work with the kids so instead we took turns. They had a warm area inside where you could watch so Laura and I waited with the kids while the boys went and vice versa. A boy showed us a smaller hill that we thought we could take the kids down so Laura and I went first and then videotaped the boys coming down with Asher and Halle. Asher did great but Halle definitely did not like getting snow in her face! (see the video below)
Out of the 5.5 years that we have been here, this is only the 2nd time we have done something outside in the winter so I was kind of proud of us for getting out. It was a fun place to go and we would like to do it again (maybe getting a babysitter next time). Thanks Presley, Laura and Asher for a great time! P.S. I joked that this is the only time that Halle would be wearing her pj's on a date...they were the warmest piece of clothing I could think of to go under the snowsuit!

Halle didn't seem like she liked the cold very much - I don't blame her! She was warm all over except her face which you can tell since it is all red!
Asher (6 months and 1 week) and Halle (6 months and 3 weeks)On their first date with their parents...this is the only time Halle will be allowed to be in her pj's around a boy!

They even have a lift. How about the old rope tow at Mt. Bachelor, Brandon? Obaa says that Halle did better than she did on her first hill. Brandon, did you try the sled on Norton Street in Bend?
