Sat. Morning

This morning while Brandon was playing basketball with some of his classmates, I went running at the local community college. There is an indoor track around 4 basketball courts and it is free to use. It is also where we play our volleyball games. I usually try to go before or after our co-ed volleyball games and have never gone on the weekend before. It was quite an adventure. The 4 courts were being used for elementary school basketball tournaments and the whole area had little kids around. It actually made me get a better workout since I had to maneuver my way around everyone. I only managed to run into one little boy who was running with his eyes closed! I was the only one running and I am not really sure if it is open to run on the weekend or not, but no one said anything! My goal was to run for 35 min. straight and I was happy that I accomplished it. Allison, my running partner, moved up to Minneapolis, so it has been hard to be motivated to run. She started a blog and the link is on the right side of my blog. She titled it "We Run as Fast as You Can Walk" which is very appropriate for the speed of our running! We are going to try to motivate each other by using the blog.

This afternoon, I went to a baby shower for Jen. Her husband is in medical school and they are a year ahead of us. They are actually our med siblings and had us over for dinner right after we arrived in Rochester. We have been told by everyone that I look like Jen and that our husbands look alike! A link to their blog is on the right side of this page. Anyway, it was a lovely baby shower. The people that hosted it provided lunch and decorated everything so nice. There were a lot of 3 year medical students/spouses and only a few second year student/spouses, but it was fun to meet everyone! Down below are some pictures from it. We are going out to dinner with Nick and Cassi tonight so I am sure I will have more pictures to post tonight.
