4th of July

We spent our 4th of July sleeping in, making breakfast together, relaxing, "grilling out" as they say in MN and then watching the fireworks with friends. The weather was very nice and it felt so good to have a day off in the middle of the week. I was also fortunate that Brandon had the day off as well. Some of his classmates were on call that day...

We stayed at the bbq until 9pm and had planned to meet Allison and some other people downtown to watch the fireworks at 10pm, however, I forgot that the whole city goes to these types of events and it was not possible to park anywhere close to were they were at. Since we live right downtown, we thought we would just park in our lot and then walk, but Katy and Steve ended up having to walk from their place which is farther away. We couldn't even find a parking spot in our parking lot and I ended up having to kick some old mean couple out of one of our spots! They were very rude to me and I felt bad, but they were in the wrong...not me! We couldn't make it to where Allison was by 10pm so we just watched the fireworks where we were at and ended up having a great view right by the lake. Rayna and her friend also came with us.

Kristen,
I'm proud of you! I can't picture you kicking anyone out of your "spot" or being confrontational, but you definitely had the right to! I'm glad you had a nice fourth :)

Both of you look more rested. A day off helps. Nice picture of the fireworks.

That couple you kicked out of the parking spot was my grandparents. They were pretty upset.

Just kidding!
I forgot to tell you two that when my dad, brother, and I went to the Baseball College World Series this year we adopted Oregon State as "our team".
