A fun day in the Cities!

Today, we took advantage of the nice weather and headed up to the Cities to go bike riding around Lake Harriet and Lake Calhoun. We knew there was a chance of rain but decided to go anyways. We got up there and got our bikes ready to head to our first stop, Sebastian Joes, for wonderful homemade ice cream. Right when we got to the ice cream shop, it started to rain as we waited in the long line for the yummy ice cream. However, unlike Oregon, the rain only lasts a little bit, so by the time I was done eating my half raspberry chocolate chip, half oreo ice cream, we were ready to go bike riding. It was so much fun riding around the lakes and we only had to stop once to head under cover while it poured for 5 minutes! There were a ton of people walking, running, roller blading and riding bikes around the lakes and it is such a fun atmosphere. We also stopped in the rose garden again and took some pictures. We then decided to stop by the sculpture garden before heading to dinner. It was fun to see the popular cherry spoon bridge sculpture. There was a huge wedding party taking pictures in front of it too. We finished the wonderful day with dinner at PF Changs and with a wonderful chocolate dessert. It was a perfect date!

So somehow I missed the eating cherry pictures until just now when I was showing Nick your posts. Love it.
