Halle's 3rd Birthday Party!

We had a little birthday party for Halle while my parents were in town on June 8th. Her actual birthday wasn't until June 23rd but since Nana and Papa were here and we would be busy at the end of the month, we thought that we should have her party early. We decided to do a drop-off Minnie/Mickey party so we had 11-12 little ones between the ages of 2-3 at our place! Halle was SO excited about her party and talked about it constantly for the week prior to it (since I was busy making decorations and things). When the day came, she was still so excited and was even on the couch looking for her friends to arrive. She handed out balloons to everyone as they came in. And, she was doing great with just  a few friends, but once everyone got here, she got a little shy. She is such a sweet girl but she gets very shy and is a Mommy's girl in large groups. We colored Minnie/Mickey masks, played Mickey bingo, pin the bow on Minnie, did some bowling and then mainly just played until lunch time. I had some other activities planned but realized that when you have 11, 2-3 year olds whose attention span isn't the greatest, you just have to go with the flow! 

We ate an early lunch (pizza, goldfish, Mickey cheese and grapes) and then had cupcakes and a cookie cake. It was a nice day so most of the kids were able to eat outside. We then played outside awhile before opening a few presents. However, Halle opened a Berenstain Bear DVD and all of the kids wanted to watch it. So, we put on a little movie for them and a lot of them crawled up on the couch and wanted to be covered up with a blanket...it was so cute! Halle was somehow able to get the kids all lined up at one point so we took a picture of most of the group. Halle felt better and less overwhelmed after lunch and had a great time. Thanks Caleb, Witten, Calum, Asher, Addie, Annabelle, Kaia, Kylie, Ellasen, Adelyn and Avery for coming to the party. And, a huge thank you to my parents, Brandon, Laura, Erica and Rachel for helping out!
