Mother's Day & Other May Activities

I had a great Mother's Day this year. I feel so blessed to have two healthy, beautiful girls and a wonderful husband. The day started out with Brandon letting me sleep in a little and then he and Halle made me breakfast. Halle is really into the Berenstein Bear books and we have been reading the "Mama's Day Surprise" for awhile now so she was super excited to make breakfast with Daddy like they do in the book. They made me chocolate chip pancakes (Daddy's specialty!) and then gave me a card with both of the girls handprints in them which Brandon had done all by himself! I was super impressed! After getting ready, they took me to the outlet mall and let me do a little shopping which was nice. We came back in the afternoon and then had dinner out at Pizza Pi. We also managed to squeeze in some time to make some Mother's Day artwork for the grandparents. It was a wonderful day! Thanks Brandon, Halle and Blair!

Dinner with my beautiful girls!!

We have only had a handful of days this Spring to be able to go to the park but when we have Halle has had such a good time. I have been watching a friend's little girl, Ellasen, about once a week while she works and it finally warmed up one day so that we could walk to the park. The girls had fun just being outside! It is fun to watch them play together! And, no trip to the park is complete without dress up hats and butterfly wings! ;)

On May 11th, a few of us got together and walked in the Promise Walk which is a walk for Preeclampsia. Unfortunately, it was super cold and windy that day so Brandon ended up staying in the car while Blair slept and Halle and I just walked half of it. Thanks to friends, Aimee and Luke, Nicole and Riley, Jen, Diana and Laura for walking!

After the walk, we headed over to a birthday party at a local hotel that has an indoor swim area. Halle had so much fun swimming with Brandon! Happy Birthday to Rowen and Caleb!
