On Saturday, I went to Apple Ridge Orchard with Katy, Cassi, Adam, Deola and Bisola. It was a sunny day but we didn't realize until we got out there how hot it was! I thought the weather had changed for good when it got cold after Labor Day, however, ever since I got back from Utah it has been over 70 which had felt really good. We took a tractor ride to get out the orchards and then picked Haralson apples for our pies and Honey Crisp apples to eat. It was fun to pick our own apples and the little kids were great at it! Afterwards, Katy and I went back to my place to eat some snacks and relax a little. We then went to Old Navy before heading over to Lesley's to make apple pies and apple crisp with our apples. We had enough apples to make three pies and an apple crisp and it was so much fun learning how to make the crust and everything together! We also watched a movie, Mad Money, while our pies were baking...it was a great night! On Sunday, I woke up just in time to make it to church with Rachel. I then spent the day getting things done. It was a very busy weekend but it has been nice to stay busy. I feel so blessed to have so many nice friends here in Rochester.
Brandon also had a busy weekend. He was at the hospital almost the whole weekend. He did get to watch the Oregon game with Matt and Missie but then had to go back to the hospital after that. I am excited to see Brandon on Sunday. We are meeting in Chicago since I will be planning a conference there and he has to take a test there. It will be a lot of fun and I am especially looking forward to seeing Mamma Mia on the Sunday we get there!

Those pies look so yummy. We wish that we could have a slice. Marie Callander has nothing on you. Adam and Bisola are so cute.
