We went geocaching yesterday with the Orme's since it was so nice outside. We found a cache that was in Essex Park. Nick and Cassi had never been geocaching before, and we put Cassi in charge of the GPS. She led us right to the cache, which was a Rubbermaid container with some random things in it. It was a beautiful hike since the leaves are turning colors and I think Adam really enjoyed being outside too! It was a great day to spend an afternoon!After we left the park, Brandon and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the first half of the Oregon/ASU football game. The Ducks were up 24-3 at halftime, so we decided to leave so that we were not occupying a table during dinner time. They ended up winning the game 48-13, so we didn't miss much. When we got back home, we had received a package from Isaac & Lagaytha that had bat lights in it. We hung them up in our place to remind us of our little bat experience!

That Adam is quite a geocacher. Did the bats stay inside the house all night?
We had so much fun finding the geocache with you guys! It was such a nice day to be out. I love the bat lights too!!
What the heck is geocacher? We need some help with this.

I am not very good at explaining what geocaching is, but I looked it up online and this is what I found:
"Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually toys or trinkets of little monetary value."
So, basically you use a GPS system to find a container of some sort, so it is like a mini-treasure hunt. If either of you would like to come with us sometime, you would be more than welcome. It is kind of amazing to think that there are a ton of things hidden all around us. There is even one under the bench in the Mayo Statuary Park!
