This morning we ran in the Harvest Classic with a lot of other Mayo Medical Students. The race is put on by the medical school and so you either help out or run in the race. Allison and I ran together and our goal was just to finish the 5K and we did in a time of 30:32 and came in 94th place! Yay! We were very excited and it was a big accomplishment for us. Brandon also decided to run in the race and ran with John & Wendi and Tara. He finished in a time of 26:48 and came in 56th place. He did a great job especially since he did not train for it! We had a good time with all of the med students and felt very good after we finished! Allison and I ran behind two ladies the whole time who were very sweet and set the pace for us. I wanted to give up when we had about a mile left, but these ladies were twice our age and kept me motivated! At the beginning we were running behind the two little boys in the picture below. They were tiny, but I think we ended up finishing before them which was good. We also finished before the 10K winner which was another goal of ours. What a great start to a day!

Almost half way there!
At the finish line - yay, we did it!

Is that a look of excitment on the face of number 1137 before the race began? Little boys and old ladies are great motivators.
Kristen, I know you don't check your mayo email but we are having a few people over tonite for games/dinner if you want to join us. Give me a call if you want to come (around 7). Wendi
