THANK YOU!!

I was so fortunate to have both of our families out here to help us right after Halle was born. My mom was about to leave for Paris on Halle's birthday and once she found out that I was going to have her, she changed her flights and came out here instead! I don't think Rochester is quite the same as Paris so it was so sweet of her to change her plans. Also, Brandon's parents were already planning on being out here to visit Joy, so they also arrived the night I went to the hospital. It was so nice to have the support of our families during such a hectic time in the hospital. We are so blessed!

My mom then stayed for 5 weeks since my brother and dad were already planning on coming out here for my original due date so they just kept their same tickets. My mom was amazing and did all of our dishes, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, dinners and anything else you could think of. We were definitely pampered by her! There is a reason she used to be an airline flight attendant....she is the best at taking care of people. I can't imagine what I would have done without her. I didn't lift a single dish or piece of clothing almost the whole time she was here. She also would hold Halle in the morning so that I could get a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep. Even when Halle would get hungry, my mom was able to keep her calm...she was amazing!

My dad and brother came out for the last two weeks of her stay. They were also very helpful. My dad also enjoyed holding Halle in the morning so I could get some sleep. And, my dad and brother took on quite a project of landscaping our front yard given the hot weather. Despite getting heat stroke one day, my dad was able to get the front of our house done with the help of my brother. It looks so much better now!

Thank you for all of your help! We really appreciated it and don't know what we would have done without all of you.

On another note, my sister is coming into town tonight to help us while Brandon is away at a course. Halle is excited to meet her Auntie Nay Nay!

It was such a blessing to have the family visit. Barb gave up quite a trip, but we imagine that she would do it again. Dwight and Kyle did a beautiful job. It will be great having your sister there while Brandon is away.

Ohh...there's just no one who can make you as comfy as your Mom can! I'm glad Barb got to come out for a while - she is very good at taking care of people...she even took care of me a few times by making me food. :) Looking forward to my Mom coming now!!!
