Halloween and Today

On Halloween, I went and saw Evan Almighty at a new theatre in town with Katy and Lesley. Katy got free tickets from someone at work and it was the grand opening of the theatre so you could choose what movie you wanted to see out of a bunch of older movies (Spiderman 3, Harry Potter 3, etc.). We got free popcorn, pop and candy and had a wonderful time together. The movie was very good and it was a great way to spend Halloween since Brandon was at the lab doing research. Afterwards, I went and worked out at the new Dan Abraham facility. It was pretty much empty since I was there from 9-10pm on Halloween which was kind of nice. My goal is to workout 3 times a week so I am trying to go Wednesday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. The cost of the gym decreases by $10 if you use it more than 10 times in a month. Since I am pretty cheap, this is good motivation for me.

This morning, Katy and I went to the gym and lifted weights before going swimming. I swam last Saturday and had such a good time that I think I will try to swim every Sat. Katy used to play water polo so she is an awesome swimmer. I had trouble keeping up and she taught me a lot. We didn't have a ton of time but I want her to teach me more next time, especially how to do a proper flip turn. I think my flip turn right now takes more energy out of me than it should especially since I can never find the wall to push off of!

Right now, I am getting the opportunity to watch Adam while Cassi surprises Nick with lunch and a movie. He is so cute and I taught him how to say "please" before giving him chocolate (maybe he already knew how to say it but I like to think that I taught him that!). He also said "yum, yum" while he was eating the chocolate. We then talked to my parents on Skype which Adam liked since he could see my parent's dog on the screen. I put him down for a nap about 45 minutes ago, but he has just been talking away the whole time. I think I will go get him and take him for a walk now.

Adam with his cheesy smile!

I am very excited that the Oregon vs. ASU football game is on tonight. Both my parents and grandparents are going to the game which is in my hometown. College Game Day is there today for the second time this year. We are taping the game since we have dinner plans at the Anatomy professor's house and she doesn't have cable. Please don't let us know what happens in the game...we will watch it later.

This past week was busy at work. I helped with two conferences which end up being long days. I am really enjoying work though and am excited to plan my own meetings. Sorry I haven't been blogging as much...I will work on it! Have a good Saturday and remember to change your clocks back tonight.

Kristen,

Just saw your comment on our blog. I would definitely take a picture of you and Brandon! :-) I'd love to, in fact. Just let me know when. I'm around next weekend, but then the weekend after we leave for FL to visit John and Wendi.

Hope the rest of your weekend goes well!
