Vacation in Oregon

Once we all arrived in Eugene, we had a great time with our families. We spent the first half of the week at Brandon's house. We were able to celebrate Joy's birthday, play games with both of our families and have lunch with his grandparents. The night we celebrated Joy's birthday, we also played our own version of the Japanese Marshmallow Game. Brandon and his dad set up a contraption for us to play the game and we played boys vs. girls. Needless to say, the boys won by a lot, but we laughed harder when it was our turn! It was way too funny!

On Christmas Eve, we spent the night at my parents best friend's house, Trish and Dennis. This is an annual tradition and it was fun to catch up with their family. We then went back to my house to open a few gifts. On Christmas we were blessed to be able to spend the morning and evening with my family and the afternoon with Brandon's. It is so nice that we only live 5 minutes from each other. We had a great Christmas spending time with our families. The rest of the week, we played more games, relaxed, went shopping, saw Marley & Me (which is sad by the way...I thought it was just supposed to be funny) and spent time with friends. It was a great week and although it was hard to leave, I feel blessed to have been able to spend at least some time with my family.

Here are some of the pictures from the week. I will post the pictures from Christmas to the end of the week tomorrow.
