Brandon was invited to play golf at the Rochester Country Club for the Annual Gift of Life Transplant Benefit Golf Tournament with Jared, Allison's boyfriend. Allison's dad, Dr. Tom Schwab, is the Executive Committee President of the Gift of Life Transplant House and he is also a nephrologist at Mayo. Brandon and Jared played with three other people in a scramble tournament. They had a lot of fun and scored 7 under. However, the winning group scored 14 under..oh well! After the tournament, there was a dinner and silent auction at the country club, that we were both invited to by the Schwab's...they are very thoughtful people. It was fun to hang out with Allison and Jared and their families and the dinner was very good. We even won a door prize to a florist shop in town! And, Allison helped her dad win tickets to a Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game in the silent auction! I guess this is a yearly thing that he tries to win each time.
