A "Spare Tire" from a bakery in Sunriver
While we were home, we went to my favorite vacation spot in Oregon - Sunriver Resort. If you have never been to Sunriver, I recommend that you go. It is a little resort outside of Bend, OR that is made up of cabins, houses, bike trails, tennis courts, parks, and golf courses with the views of Mt. Bachelor, The Three Sisters, and Broken Top in the background. There is always so much to do in both the summer and winter. In the summer, it is a perfect place to go biking, canoeing, golfing, tennis, etc., and in the winter, you can go skiing at Mt. Bachelor. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to get to Sunriver from Eugene. We were there for 4 days, and went golfing one day, went on a lot of bike rides, went shopping in Bend, and got to hang out with both of our families. It was a lot of fun! The picture of Mt. Bachelor at the top was taken while I was riding on the back of a tandem bike with Brandon!

The sun in Sunriver is nice (in moderation, of course). Because of the fires near Sisters, the sky may be smoky now.
